ABOUT ME

I hail from the North West Coast of Tasmania, Australia. I am a triathlete, teacher and triathlon coach.

I now live in Morzine, France, a small village in the French Alps.
For the past two years, from December to April I have hosted a chalet for the ski season and have been doing quite a bit of skiing myself.
From May to September is my favourite time of year, the summer season, and I host triathlon and cycling holidays (www.tri4thealps.com)

Triathlon is my passion. I did my first event at 15 years old and have never looked back. I love the challenge of pushing myself to the limits to be the very best I can. Growing up I was never the most talented sportsman but I have worked extremely hard and I'm very proud of what I have achieved so far.

Some of my highlights include racing for the club Cesson Sevinge in the French Grand Prix in 2005, wearing the green and gold in the 2006 and 2009 World LD Championships and having the opportunity to travel around the world and meet some wonderful people.

Above all my best race has been the 2011 Australian Ironman. For once, everything on the day went like clockwork. I finished in 9.38, 2nd to the very talented Carolyn Steffen but first Aussie and therefore Australian Champion!

I have retired from the professional racing scene having lost the drive to train and race at the highest level. I still love all things triathlon and have been re-inspired to train after an amazing 3months in Morzine in France in 2012. I am now keeping fit and not ruling out racing again in the future.

I am a Level 2 Triathlon Australia Accredited Coach (aimed at assisting national level triathletes) and am thoughly enjoying helping others to pursue their triathlon dreams.
